Congress in Belfast is happening in all parts of the city! North, South, East, and West, there are venues from historic gaols to contemporary art centres, much-loved museums to the city’s much-photographed City Hall.

And Congress 2022 embraces these venues day to night, with an evening events programme taking us up and down the city…

Wednesday 8 June: Civic Reception at Belfast City Hall

We’re honoured that Congress will be officially welcomed to Belfast with a Civic Reception in City Hall.

At the heart of the city’s activity since 1906, it stands on the site of the old Linen Hall. Since then, it has witnessed some of the city’s most significant events, so it is a fitting place to start reflecting on Belfast’s challenges and progress.

Thursday 9 June: Cultural Reception at Ulster Museum

The home of Northern Ireland’s treasures, past and present, the Ulster Museum’s rich collections of art, history and natural sciences tell the stories of the region’s people and places.

Developed over three key eras, the building is a unique mix of classical tradition and starkly modernist, located in the city’s Botanic Gardens.
